Angela Quillen




Angela joins Xcel in 2020 with an extensive background as a player, coach, and recruiting coordinator. She played for Evadale High School who made an appearance at the state tournament and finished 2nd. Angela was 1st Team All-District, an All-State selection, District MVP, and voted Athlete of the Year four times. She continued her career at University of West Georgia as an outside and libero. Angela holds the program record for career digs and NCAA record for digs in a three set match.

She stayed at UWG as a graduate assistant when the program competed in conference finals for the first time in 16 years. Angela then became a graduate assistant at University of Tennessee-Martin. A year later, she was the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Nicholls State University, improving their record by 8 wins from previous season. Angela later became the head coach at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, making her the youngest head coach in the country. During her time there, she recorded the best record season as a first year head coach and beat UTSA for the first time in 25 tries. Angela was later named the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and supervised NCAA compliance and conference regulations.
